About Jay Dunn, Humanitarian Photojournalist


Jay Dunn is a National Geographic award-winning photojournalist and writer with ten years experience in Asia and Africa under his belt. Specializing in inspired coverage of cultural tradition and humanitarian issues, Mr. Dunn  produced nineteen original two-page works of photojournalism and more than twenty covers for the Chicago Tribune’s HOY newspaper, including a five-part series of positive stories from Chicago Public Schools featured on UNIVISION.

Based in Chicago, the photographer welcomes domestic and foreign press assignments, with clients like the New York Times, and National Public Radio to his credits. He is currently working with the government of Mexico on a long-term project documenting the intersection of indigenous cultures with colonial influence in the celebration of festivals.
